I am a Rock Art lover and an amatuer archeologist.
We found Rock Art worldwide and these are the footsteps of our ancestors.
Man leaving in stone age left behind his footsteps in the form of cave paintings or inscriptions on rock. This is known as Rock Art.
I am life member of The Rock Art Society of India (RASI) and I have so far discovered two Rock Art sites in Sindhudurg district.
I have presented a research paper about my findiangs in the 17th Congress of Rock Art Society (RASI) held at BAdami, Karnataka in Nov. 2012. This paper is also published in RASI's research journal "Purakala".
To make awareness among prople about this subject, I have created a blog.

अश्मयुगात राहणाऱ्या आदिमानवाने गुहांमध्ये चित्रे काढुन किंवा दगडांवर चित्रे खोदुन आपल्या पाऊलखुणा मागे ठेवल्या आहेत. मानवाच्या पूर्वजाची ही कारागिरी जगभरात आढळते आणि तिला राॅक आर्ट म्हणुन ओळखले जाते.
मी एक हौशी रॉक आर्ट संशोधक असून दि रॉक आर्ट सोसायटी ऑफ इंडियाचा आजीव सदस्य आहे.
आतापर्यात मी सिंधुदुर्ग जिल्ह्यातील दोन रॉक आर्ट साईटसचा शोध लावला आहे.
माझ्या शोधाबाबत मी रॉक आर्ट सोसायटी ऑफ इंडियाच्या बदामी, कर्नाटक येथे नोव्हेंबर २०१२ मध्ये झालेल्या १७ व्या वार्षिक परिषदेमध्ये शोधनिबंध सादर केला होता. हा शोधनिंबध सोसायटीच्या ' पुराकला ' या रिसर्च जर्नलमध्ये प्रसिद्ध झाला आहे.
या विषयाबाबत लोकांना माहिती मिळावी, जनजागृती व्हावी, यासाठी मी एक नवीन ब्लॉग सुरु केला आहे. त्याचा पत्ता www.pashankala.blogspot.in असा आहे.
